Yup, this prayer is not only a powerful tool for spiritual warfare but also a source of encouragement and strength for believers.

Putting on the Full Armour of God in Prayer

As believers, we are called to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The Armour of God Prayer really reminds me that we are not alone in the battles of life, and that we have access to spiritual resources that can help us overcome any obstacle. God is good!

The prayer starts with putting on the belt of truth. This symbolizes the importance of being truthful and honest in all our dealings with others. It also reminds us of the importance of standing firm in our faith, and being anchored in the truth of God’s Word. I  always put this one on first.

The breastplate of righteousness is the next piece of armour we put on. This piece represents the righteousness of Christ that has been imputed to us through faith. It protects our heart from the attacks of the enemy and reminds us that we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
I always say Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ to my right, Christ to my left, Christ at the crown of my head, and Christ at the sole of my feet.

The shoes of the gospel of peace represent our readiness to share the good news of Christ with others. As we walk in the shoes of the gospel, we bring peace to those around us and demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ.

The shield of faith is next, which represents our trust in God’s promises and protection. It enables us to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one and reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. Yeah, this is a good one also.

The helmet of salvation is the next piece of armour. This represents the protection of our minds through our faith in Christ’s saving work. It reminds us of our identity as children of God and guards our thoughts against the lies and deceptions of the enemy.

Lastly, we take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This piece of armour represents the power of the Word of God to overcome the enemy. It reminds us of the importance of studying and meditating on God’s Word, which is our sword in spiritual warfare. i think this one is the most important.

In conclusion, the Armour of God Prayer is a powerful tool for believers in their daily walk with God. It reminds us of the spiritual weapons at our disposal and encourages us to put them into practice in our daily lives. With this prayer, we can face any challenge with confidence, knowing that we have the power of God on our side.
